KATHUA, Jan 20: Col Mahan Singh (Retd) DDC Chairman Kathua said that the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) envisaged by the BJP Government is all set to resolve the archaic water crisis in Kandi belts forever.
He was speaking after the inauguration of a tube-well at Patwani locality in Tridwan Panchayat of Hatli in Kathua area.
He was accompanied by Shaveta Kumar DDC Member Keedian Gandyal. The DDC Chairman assured that potable water shortage in village Tridwan (Hatli) will soon become history as the project worth Rs six crore including three Water Supply Schemes, laying of new water supply lines and allied infrastructure.
He said that the Government in J&K has been able to address the issues of people which they were confronting since ages only because of visionary insight of PM Narendra Modi as he took personal interest in finding out remedies to the problems which people faced in the region due to indifference of successive governments that reigned the region in the past.
The DDC Chairman expressed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for ongoing JJM to resolve perennial problems of drinking water in Kandi regions of Kathua district. He said that time is not far when the dream of ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ will be fulfilled in the Kandi belt.
Sarpanch Tridwan, Sarpanch Hatli, DDC Lohai Malhar, Executive Engineer Jalshakti Department and staff were also present during the event.
