JAMMU, July 18: Jio has announced a “Monsoon Hungama Offer” where people can exchange their existing feature phones with a new JioPhone, which was launched last year. As part of the exchange offer, users can buy a JioPhone for Rs 501.
According to official handout, new enriched JioPhone App Ecosystem is set to bring knowledge, education and entertainment on the fingertips of the users. JioPhone is taking connectivity with affordability to a never-experienced before level.
Jio Digital Life can be experienced in every district, taluk, gram panchayat and village of India. With as many as 500 million Indians still using feature phones with no access to internet, the doors of Digital Life are closed to them mainly because of the problem of affordability, which the JioPhone has been changing.
“Twenty five million Indians are already using the JioPhone and millions can now adopt the JioPhone with the entry cost being brought down further with the Monsoon Hungama Offer. Jio is on the mission to transform India with the power of data”, the handout reads.
Starting at 5:01 pm on July 20, the customers will be able to exchange any old feature phone of any branch with new JioPhone (existing model) at an effective entry cost of only Rs 501.
“Such a low entry cost practically makes it possible for every feature phone users to experience the power of data and internet for the first time ever. Standing true to its commitment, JioPhone will be home to the best apps in the world”, the handout reads further.
