Jhallas residents resent power, water shortage

POONCH, July 5: Residents from Jhallas village and adjoining areas met the SSP Poonch and took up the issue of power and water crisis in the area here today.
A delegation of the villagers, led by Sarpanch and other Panchayat members from the area, met the SSP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain in his office chamber here and apprised him of the problems being faced by the people due to acute shortage of electricity supply and drinking water. The locals said that for the last nearly one months the public is facing worst kind crisis and the concerned departments have failed to provide essential services to the people. They warned to protest on roads and block Jammu-Poonch highway if the services were not improved by concerned authorities within 3-4 days.
The SSP listened the public problems patiently and assured them to take up these issues with the concerned higher authorities.
