KATHUA, Dec 11: Member Legislative Assembly Bani, Jewan Lal, today kick started Baiken to Doula road via Koti Chandayar at Baiken to ensure proper development of hilly and far flung areas.
MLA said the work of 20 km road from Baiken to Doula Mata via Koti-Chandayar will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1379.59 lakh under PMGSY Sub Division Billawar.
Spelling out Government’s endeavors of extending an expanded road network in every part of the Bani, MLA said that during the regime of present dispensation the State has received substantial funding from the Centre under several schemes envisaging enhanced connectivity. “With expansion in existing road network the Bani is witnessing a notable growth and development in different spheres”, he added.
He said that the upgrdation work of Gatti-Panekhi and Bani- Challoge road and constructions of earth work of Challoge-Dhaman via Dhaggar road is almost complete. “Further I am delightful to say that Panekhi-Tapper, Baiken-Balzedi, Barmota-Ghuttu, Barmota-Doulka, GREF road to Hathan, Hansa-Bhullari ,Sarthali-Tapper, Asso-Chachhal and now Baikan to upper Koti will be started and I hope all these roads will be completed within next two Years”.
He said in near future most of the areas will have road connectivity and tourism industry will flourish in Bani area. Many other project such as C.R.F. road from Derigalla -Dhaman road is also sanctioned and in near future we will start work of this road. “I am quite hopeful that in next 2-3 years considerable development works will be completed in Bani”, Jewan Lal added.
He said similarly construction of road, from Katli-Dera Gaali, Katli-Malhar and Malhar- Marhoon, Kahog-Bhatodi, Mann-Banjal-Bhatwal and Ghatt-Machhedi are in progress.
