Jessica Chastain, Octavia Spencer to star in holiday comedy

LOS ANGELES, Jan 18: Actor Jessica Chastain is reuniting with her “The Help” co-star Octavia Spencer for a new holiday comedy film.
The film, which was bagged by Universal Studios in a bidding war, is centred around the two ladies’ obstacle course-like journeys back home in time for Christmas, reported Variety.
Chastain, who also co-wrote the treatment with Kelly Carmichael, is also producing the film with her company Freckle Films.
Carmichael, Celine Rattray, and Trudie Styler are also on board the project as producers. (PTI)

Charlie Plummer to star in ‘Spontaneous’
LOS ANGELES, Jan 18:
Actor Charlie Plummer is in negotiations to star in the sci-fi film “Spontaneous”.
The “All the Money in the World” actor is being considered to play the male lead opposite “13 Reasons Why” star Katherine Langford in the film, which will be directed by Brian Duffield, reported Variety.
Duffield is also adapting the script for the movie from a young adult novel of the same name by Aaron Starmer.
The story follows Mara Carlye (Langford), whose life is forever changed when students in her senior class explode for no discernible reason. (PTI)
