NEW DELHI : Jeep launched the Wrangler Unlimited and the Grand Cherokee in India on Tuesday.
Wrangler Unlimited sports 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with 5-speed automatic transmission.
Grand Cherokee Limited sports 6.4-litre, V8 petrol engine with 8-speed automatic transmission.
First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi earlier this year, the SRT variant of the Grand Cherokee will be the most powerful Jeep on offer in India. Apart from all the features of the Grand Cherokee, it most notably gets an added V8 motor unleashing 475 horses worth of power!
Jeep also launched the Summit version of the Grand Cherokee on the occasion. It has been priced at Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). It remains to be powered by the same 3.0-litre V6 pot as the Grand Cherokee Limited but comes with some additional features over and above.
Things get bigger with the slightly whiter collar Grand Cherokee. It’s a massive set of wheels by Indian standards, unless you plan to take it off-roading. Design traits like the chrome grille, projector headlamps and the large wheels, make it an imposing sight to behold.
Features like the 8.4-inch infotainment system and a panoramic sunroof further add to the fanciness of the Cherokee.
Grand Cherokee Limited: Rs 93.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). (AGENCIES)
