JAMMU, July 8: Janta Dal Secular (JDS) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its acting president Ranjan Bargotra.
While speaking, Bargotra expressed concern over the rising prices of the essential commodities, non-availability of the sugar in Government ration depots and reduction of the kerosene oil from 10 to 5 liters per ration card.
He also expressed concern over the frequent power cuts and asked the Government to stop it.
“Government should constitute a committee to look into the matter of the rising prices of the essential commodities vis-à-vis other matters related to the public masses”, he demanded.
Among others present were Ram Rattan Sharma, Bhagwati Sharan Sharma, senior vice president, RR Sharma, Kulbir Singh, HC Dogra, Amrik Singh Jamwal and Makhan Lal Bhat.
