JAMMU, Aug 3: A deputation of JDA Employees and Workers Union led by its president Rajinder Kumar, met the Vice Chairman JDA R K Shavan and submitted a charter of demands with the request to redress all grievances of workers and employees of the Authorities.
The demands mentioned in the charter pertained to conducting of DPC meeting; Implementation of SRO 43 in letter and spirit; removing stagnation of employees by providing designation for next higher grade and a clear cut transfer policy.
The deputation also impressed upon the Vice Chairman that JDA is developing colonies for general public but there were lot of employees who don’t own a plot till date and requested the VC to restore quota of plots for its employees.
The Vice Chairman gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to fulfil genuine demands of the employees well in time.
The union members also extended full cooperation to the Vice Chairman in his anti-encroachment drive launched through his team of officers. The union also assured the VC that it will not participate in the proposed dharna, on August 8, 2017, the call for which has been given by Ashok Singh Jamwal.
Those in the deputation included Ravinder Koul, Sushil Sharma and Kamal Dubey.
