Jammu, Aug 16: Building Operation Controlling Authority (BOCA) meeting was held today under the Chairmanship of Pankaj Magotra, Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority after a gap of 5 months.
In the BOCA meeting, 70 building permission cases were examined, out of which 53 have been cleared.
The BOCA meeting was attended by Kusum Chib, Collector Land Acquisition/Director Land Management, JDA, Jagdish Raj Hans, Chief Town Planner, JDA, Assistant Town Planner, JDA, Executive Engineer PDD inspection Division, 3 Executive Engineers of PHE Deptt. and 3 Executive Engineers of PWD Deptt., Jammu.
Further Vice Chairman, JDA/Chairman BOCA has requested the public not to construct the buildings without getting their plans approved by the competent authority. JDA is only competent Authority to accord the building permission for the construction of buildings within local area of the jurisdiction of JDA.
To ensure planned and organized development, electric/water connection for all type of constructions shall be sanctioned by the concerned departments only on the production of completion certificate of building issued by the competent authority”, he added.
Vice Chairman assured the general public that a regular building permission meetings shall be held within stipulated time period.
Soonly JDA is going to adopt the fully Online Building Permission system being developed by H&UDD department with the support of MAHUA- GoI.
