JAMMU, Mar 24: The members of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry today discussed the issues of the Jammu interest with the Lok Samba Member from Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma at Chamber House here today.
On the request of president Chamber of Commerce & Industry Rakesh Gupta, the BJP MP paid visit to the Chamber House and discussed the issues and demands projected by the Chamber before the previous political regime and also to the Governor N N Vohra.
The Chamber also made it very clear that besides economic activities, the Chamber shall not in any way go back on the demands concerning general public which also included simplification of process for issuing Permanent Resident Certificate (PRCs), Super Specialty Hospital in Jammu to be out sourced, creation of commercial and parking spaces etc.
On this occasion, as already requested by the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Member Parliament handed over a letter to the Chamber office bearers contributing the sum of Rs 10 lakh out of his MP LAD funds for up gradation of facilities at Chamber House.
Pertinent to mention here that the Chamber House being the hub of economic activities representing all business and Industrial people of Jammu province needs to be upgraded so that various business organisations as also social orgainsations can use the space in the Chamber House for meetings and awareness campaigns for the public at large.
The MP was accompanied by senior BJP leaders Vikram Randhawa, Baldev Singh, Vinay Gupta and Chander Shekhar. The prominent Chamber officer bearers included Sham Langer, Deepak Aggarwal, Rahul Mahajan and Ashu Gupta.
The JCCI also extended gratitude to Speakers J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta for his contribution of Rs 5 lakhs, Ashok Khajuria MLC for contributing Rs 10 lakh and Priya Sethi, former minister for contributing Rs 5 lakh for the same purpose.
