JAMMU, Dec 15: Expressing concern over the situation in the Jagti township, the Jagti Coordination Committee (JCC) in its meeting held under the chairmanship B L Koul lambasted the State administration especially revenue authorities for ignoring the displaced Pandits leading an exiled life for over last 22 years.
Highlighting the problems of people living in Jagti where people face water scarcity for last 6 days, the meeting said that the Minister of PHE had given assurance nine months back that the water supply will be restored but nothing was done in this regard till date.
The meeting also discussed the problems being faced by the relief holders that the payment of relief has not been released so far. It urged the Government to restore the power supply as patients and the student community is suffering a lot due to the prolonged 18 hour power curtailment.
It further urged the Government to take immediate steps in solving the problems so that the inmates of township will not be forced to come on roads. Others who attended the meeting included Vijay Kaul, Ravi Zuthsi, Chand Ji, Sanjay Raina, Raj Kapoor and Raju Sagel.
