Jawan injured in sniper shot

JAMMU, Sept 15: An Army jawan was injured reportedly in a sniper shot fired by Pakistani troops on the Line of Control (LoC) at forward village of Pukharni in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
He has been identified as Havaldar Dil Bahadur.
Reports said the Army jawan was manning a forward post in Pukharni area when he was hit by a sniper shot and injured at 10.30 am today. He was evacuated from the spot and airlifted to Command Hospital, Udhampur.
According to sources, the Indian troops guarding the LoC also fired in retaliation and firing between the two sides continued for some time.
