RAJOURI, May 11: An army jawan died of mysterious firing at a forward post in Chingus area of Rajouri district on Sunday.
Sources said that jawan identified as 26-year-old Mukesh Yadav of 48 RR sustained three bullets at neck, chest and shoulder. He was deployed at Moli Post near the LOC. While the Army authorities claimed that soldier committed suicide by using his own rifle, but the police suspects some foul play. It got the postmortem of the body conducted and started investigation. Later, his body was sent to his home town Haldoi in UP.
A Defence spokesman said that court of inquiry has been ordered into the matter by the senior Army officials.
