Jat Regiment distributes solar lights in border belt of Marh

JAMMU, Feb 10: In a simple but impressive function at village Chargali of Panchayat Souhagni in Marh constituency, 15 Jat Regiment of Indian Army today provided solar lights to the border villagers in presence of former Minister, Ex MLA, Marh and chairman, Panchayati Raj Cell, BJP JK UT, Sukhnandan Kumar Choudhary.
On the occasion, Commanding Officer 15 JAT Regiment, Daleep Dudi told that the initiative of “Roshni” under Operation Sadhbhavna of Indian Army was launched after it was felt that the electricity is the most critical requirement in the border villages along the International Border.
While speaking on the occasion, Sukhnandan Kumar said that the distribution of solar lights has made a dramatic difference in the lives of the border dwellers as it provides six to eight hours of free light with simple operating and charging procedure. He also complimented the 15 Jat Regiment of Indian Army for taking such a great initiative of distributing solar lights to the border dwellers.
Major Pankaj of Indian Army, Sarpanch Panchayat, Souhagni Daljeet Singh, Sarpanch Pyt, Dhateyaal, Parshotam Sharma, Sarpanch Pyt, Galwadey Chak, Vikramjeet Singh and so many prominent people of the area were also present on the occasion.
