KATHUA, Nov 10:: Reiterating commitment of the Government to reach out to the people with enhanced amenities and prompt service delivery, MLA Kathua today said that a comprehensive development plan is underway to meet expectations of the people.
While interacting with the people after kick starting developmental works worth Rs 3 crore including shingle melting of road at Chak Ram Chand and lanes costing Rs 25 lakh, black topping road of Logate village costing Rs 2.00 crore, Shingle melting of Gaiterwan road and lanes and CFC costing Rs 25 lakh, inauguration of lanes at village Kharote costing Rs 47 lakh, inauguration of Ram Leela Club and protection wall at village Janglote East costing Rs 10 lakh, filling of platform and lanes and drains at village Bhed Blode costing Rs 35 lakh, inauguration of lane and drain at village Kathera costing 5 lakh, inauguration of road at Kotla costing Rs 10 lakh making it total amount Rs 3 crore in the presence of Karan Singh Sarpanch, Raj Kumar Sarpanch, City Mandal Pardhan Vidya Sagar, general secretary Ravi Andotra, Sandeep Sharma, Ramesh, Sarpanch Dilawar, Manohar, Ravi, Aruna Jasrotia besides prominent persons of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA said that the present dispensation is making concerted efforts to improve infrastructural edifice in all development sectors which is being witnessed on ground. He added that public partaking is vital factor to supplement initiatives of the Government for effective implementation of programme and welfare schemes. He assured the people that all their developmental needs will be met in a phased manner. He also appealed the people to help in better upkeep of public utilities and keeping environment clean.
He said the Government is committed to provide improved basic amenities to the people of all the three regions of the State. Several initiatives are underway to upgrade basic services and improve the living standard of the people especially of weaker sections of the society. The road connectivity is the top priority of the Government and in this regard necessary directions were already passed to all the concerned departments to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for uncovered areas so that all habitations would be provided better road connectivity, he added. He reiterated that BJP is committed for holistic development of State and started many development projects including Centre sponsored schemes.
