KATHUA, Oct 27: Taking forward the agenda of development in his Kathua constituency, BJP MLA, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated the blacktopping of 8 km road from National Highway to Narwal village at the cost of Rs 4.00 crore.
The Executive Engineer PWD, AEE PWD, Sarpanch Shiv Dev, of Barwal East, Master Parkash, Dr. Pyara Singh, Beer, Dheer Singh, Naib Sarpanch, Subash, Bodh Raj besides prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, MLA said, it is his priority to fulfil the needs of the residents of Kathua and every requirement related to development is taken up on priority basis. The works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and enhancing other civic amenities have already been taken up and will be completed in a time bound manner, he added.
The MLA said that he is well aware of the needs of the people. He along with his team is working day and night for the welfare of the constituency, he added.
He asserted that ensuring enhanced facilities to the people in every nook and corner of the Kathua with emphasis on the most neglected parts is the main mantra of his working. He instructed the officers to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing projects and complete them within shortest possible time.
Stressing on the need for special attention on the infrastructural development and proper implementation of the welfare programs, he asked for greater public participation in every developmental endeavour initiated by the administration to achieve tangible results on the ground. Terming Prime Minister, Narendra Modi as “architect of Transforming India”, the MLA said that the BJP led Government at the Centre is extending all support to the State for its socio-economic development. Besides, the State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in providing the benefits of the Centrally and State sponsored schemes to the general public.
MLA further said that few people are engaged in misguiding the innocent people regarding various development projects and their execution, it should be clear in everyone’s mind that all the development related works are being planned and carried out only on the direction of the Government and if anyone has any grievance; he can directly come to his office for its redressal, he added.
MLA said that the financial package announced by the Central Government for the development of the State which includes works pertaining to improvement of roads, National and State highways, electricity, water supply, education sector, health sector so on, shows the commitment of the BJP led Central Government towards development of J&K.
