KATHUA, Nov 7: MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated the construction work of road from Kathera to Sherkotla, adjoining Sahar and other villages at the cost of Rs 1.27 cr, under PMGSY.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA said that this was the long pending demand of the locals, so he took it up on priority so that residents of the area should not face any problem pertaining to development in his constituency.
The MLA said that Coalition Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of three regions of the State including drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health, drainage system and education.
He said that the Union Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities adding that Kathua constituency is being developed in all respects to develop it on modern lines.
The MLA further assured the people that pace of development in his constituency shall steadily accelerate further in all fields but the people should keep an eye on the quality work. He said that any shortcoming may be brought into his notice for corrective measures and action against the erring officials.
Jasrotia said that he would leave no stone unturned to ensure that public money is spent only for adding facilities to the general people. He apprised the people that there was no constraint of funds for completing the ongoing projects in a time bound manner.
He also informed that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for up-gradation and expansion of basic facilities to provide all infrastructural facilities to the people of constituency. He sought cooperation of the people in implementing the development programmes on ground level.
Calling upon youth to derive maximum benefit from employment schemes, he enjoined upon the youth to inculcate spirit of entrepreneurship and look beyond Government sector for jobs.
