Briefly submitting the report on the activities of the NGO of the last three years, Jandial expressed happiness over the educational excellence of the Divyangs displayed in all examinations conducted by the Board of School Education in the last three years. This year, in Middle Class Examination, all the students got distinction.
He also referred to the dwindling financial health of the NGO this year as a result of withholding of annual grant-in-aid by Social Welfare Department for the year 2021-22 due to newly introduced cumbersome system of verification of NGOs resulting in SKK’s accounts going deficit by Rs. 3.50 lakh in the first quarter of this year.
He said that the option available was to seek public donations or collect contributions from SKK members. The new EC would take a call.
He also referred to the inordinate delay in allotting the alternate plot for construction of its building for the school by the JDA. The payment was made by the NGO about 27 years ago. However, there is a hope that the matter would likely be resolved in the next meeting of the Board of Directors of JDA.
