POONCH, Jan 20: Ajaz Jan, Member Legislative Assembly, Poonch in a statement issued here today has appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to depute a team of senior officers to Poonch to ascertain the damages incurred to the electric installations and initiate measures for early restoration of power supply which is affected due to heavy snowfall in the area.
Jan also appealed the Chief Minister for allotment of additional funds to the district so that damages caused to the essential services are restored urgently.
He further appealed the Chief Minister to instruct the Government officers to work out the extent of losses to the houses and livestock in the upper reaches of Loran, Sowjian, Gagrian and issue adequate relief to the sufferers.
