Jammu’s Reecha Gupta showcasing her art works in Frankfurt

JAMMU, Oct 5: Reecha Gupta, an eminent artist from Jammu, is showcasing her art works in Frankfurt, Germany tomorrow.
The 10-day long exhibition has been organized by West Kunst Nied Art Gallery, Frankfurt, Germany, in which many national and international artists are exhibiting their art works.
Reecha is exhibiting her six art works , based on the theme ‘Unspoken Language of Symbols’, which she has created while initiating her Senior Fellowship Research work under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
In her work, she has incorporated elements from texts, Mohras (memorial stones), Dehris (memorial places), other religious and spiritual elements from the culture. She has tried to put in visual context the spirit of hymns as reiterate the purity of environment, the local belief, the myths and such other factors, which form the lineage of our socio cultural milieu.
Reecha, a Gold Medalist in Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from Jammu University, has participated in various camps and workshops in different parts of the country as well as abroad. She has bagged prestigious scholarships and awards for her works by the J&K Cultural Academy, Indian Academy of Fine Arts Amritsar, etc.
Presently doing research work in painting for the Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, India, several paintings of Reecha are also in the private collection in India and abroad.
