KATHUA, Feb 12: Former Minister and head of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan (DSS), Ch Lal Singh today said that in the coming election, DSS will emerge as a strong alternative.
While addressing a mammoth gathering at Village Khoon, in Tek Billawar, he said the people of Jammu will now vote for a change which will bring the entire Dugger Pardesh (Jammu Province) out of misery and despondency. The people from Jammu will never vote for the parties getting dictations from Kashmir and Delhi. Ch Lal Singh gave a clarion call to all Dogras to maintain the spirit and expressed a strong hope that the time is not far and very soon Dogras will provide a strong political alternative in the State politics and the sufferings which the people faced during successive Governments will end.
Lal Singh further said that national parties are indulging in useless efforts and discussing the issue of 370 and 35A. Why these parties are not asking for the 6 seats of the PoJK refuges who are sitting in Jammu and 2 seats for the Kashmiri migrants. The count of 8 more seats will make Jammu strong and people of the Poonch, Mirpur, Mendhar and KPs will have their own representation in the Assembly. “We should not beg for the compensation in front of the Government, instead we should bag the political power on equal basis in the Assembly”.
Lal Singh said that, if DSS will be voted to power it will fight for the separate PSC and SSRB for the people of Jammu. Despite having higher marks in each exam the youth of Jammu are on roads and suffered due to the biased and appeasement approach of the successive Governments. The only solution to end the discrimination with the people of Jammu is to have separate Director for each department, he added.
