Jammu Theatre Artist gets ‘Youth Icon Award’ in Delhi

JAMMU, Oct 14: Pawan Verma, a well known theatre artist from Jammu brought laurels for the State on being awarded with “Youth Icon Award in Performing Arts (Theatre)” in Indian Legend Awards, organised by Trendspire Solutions at Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Auditorium, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The chief guest on the occasion was Major General GD Bakshi, Mahima Chaudhry (famous Bollywood actress) and Khyali Saharan (famous comedian).
PawanVerma belongs to Mubarak Mandi, a Heritage of Dogra Rulers. He started his theatre journey from Natrang’s theatre Camp-2000 under the guidance of Balwant Thakur. Having experience of more than 19 years in theatre, he has acted in over 70 plays which were performed more than 500 times through-out the country and abroad too.
He has participated in more than 40 National Theatre Festivals and has also the credit to perform in many International Theatre Festivals like “Year Of India In Russia” Festival, Frankfurt International Theatre Festival, 7th International Theatre Festival by RITWIK, Rabindra Sadan, Behrampore, which were organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations and were held in Frankfurt, Belgrade, Yaroslavl, Moscow, Germany and also in international events like Common Wealth Games 2010 in New Delhi and 101th Indian Science Congress in 2013.
