Jammu-Srinagar national highway reopened for usual traffic

JAMMU : Traffic on Jammu-Srinagar national highway-1A which was blocked due to heavy rains and landslides this morning, was reopened for usual traffic from both sides in the afternoon.
The normal traffic on every busy Jammu-Srinagar national highway which got disrupted today morning following overnight rain and shower triggering landslides near Panthial in Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban was restored from both sides after clearance of landslides, a police spokesperson said. He said, “Border Road Organisation (BRO) men who were on job to clear the road cleared the highway and the traffic was resumed from both sides and traffic is smoothly plying.” The highway was closed for normal traffic following overnight rains triggered landslides near Panthial in Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district this morning.
