Jammu remains hottest with max 42.4 deg

JAMMU: The winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir today witnessed another hottest day with mercury touching season’s maximum of 42.4 degree Celsius, thus giving no respite from scorching heat.

Yesterday for the first time, this season, the temperature crossed 40 degree mark as maximum was recorded 40.9 degrees Celsius. ”The temperature today recorded was reason’s maximum as 42.4 degrees and will keep rising in the coming couple of days,” the weatherman here said.

He said showers are expected but after some days in the region. The minimum temperature however, was recorded 23.6 degrees, he said adding that yesterday the maximum temperature was 40.9 degrees while earlier in was 39.6 degrees. (AGENCIES)
