JAMMU, Dec 29: Jammu Kashmir United Peace Movement has been jointly framed by Nature-Human Centric People Movement, Jammu Kashmir Freedom Movement, Nature Mankind Friendly Global Party and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar).
This was stated by Chairman, Nature-Human Centric People Movement Himmat Singh during a press conference here today.
Founder, Nature-Human Centric People Movement, RP Saraf, President, Jammu Kashmir Freedom Movement Mohammad Sharief Sartaj, Founder, Nature Mankind Friendly Global Party Babu Singh, officials of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) JS Mangal and Simranjeet Singh Khala, Advocate High Court MR Qureshi and Narinder Singh Khalsa were also present during the conference.
Himmat Singh said that the fundamental programme of this Movement is to launch campaign for the promotion of peace and common development of united Jammu-Kashmir, India, Pakistan and South Asia, but the biggest stumbling block before the peace and common development is Jammu-Kashmir’s dispute. Until and unless the root cause of J&K is addressed it is difficult to promote permanent peace, stability and common development in the State and between India and Pakistan, he added.
This Movement also decided to initiate the inter-regional and inter-ethnic dialogue and dialogue with India and Pakistan for hammering out the consensus of just and permanent solution of J&K dispute with the tune to its trilateral nature, he said, adding that the Movement has agreed to put forth the roadmap for the resolution of J&K dispute before all stakeholders, which include divided J&K should be unified into a ‘Federal State’, respective national aspirations and interest of India and Pakistan be balanced, there should a United Federal Assembly and the regional and ethnic aspirations and interest of Jammu-Kashmir ethno-regional identified should be accommodated.
Himmat Singh said that the Movement appealed to both India and Pakistan to stop confrontation, convene Indo-Pak Peace Summit and initiate the dialogue process for the just and permanent resolution of J&K trilateral dispute.
Among others present were Prempaul Singh, PC Badan, Kulwant Singh, Raghvir Singh, Gitan Singh, Shivraj Singh, Daljit Singh, Vijay Singh, Angrez Singh, Roop Lal, Sahib Singh, Ashok Kumar, lekhraj Khajuria, Prof Sheikh Mohammad Ayub, Khakan Ahmed Malik, AR Rathar and Abdul Qayoom Zargar.
