JAMMU, Oct 14: Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) here today stated that the persist demand of Jammuites has been fulfilled and the issue of launching J&K Road Transport Corporation (J&KRTC) bus service between Jammu and Haridwar which was taken up by the Trust with J&KRTC has been considered and daily bus service between Jammu and Haridwar has been started from October 13.
In a press conference, Gurdas Sharma, JYBT general secretary said that the facility will help pilgrims from Jammu to visit Haridwar for taking a holy dip in Ganges and to immerse ashes of their deceased loved ones there.
He further said that devotees wishing to visit Haridwar are welcomed at Haridwar Bhawan of the Trust wherein they will be provided accommodation and free meal facility during their stay and on return they will be provided free food packed by the Trust.
A handout of the Trust stated that the bus will leave Jammu on daily basis in evening hours and will reach to Haridwar next morning and those who wish to avail the service may contact Trust at 7051122990 and in Haridwar at 09897128391 as also on mobile number 9419662100, 9596955663, 09557222330 and 9068222330.
The press conference was also attended by Ram Langer, Trustee/Treasurer and Jatinder Aggarwal, Trustee.
