JAMMU, Aug 25: Members of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association (AJBRCEA) Kashmir, continued with their protest at Dr BR Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu which commenced on June Ist, 2022, the day after the targeted killing of teacher- Rajni Bala who was serving in Kulgam district.
The protesting employees raised slogans in support of their demand and urged the Lt. Governor led Administration to address their 3-point genuine demands including formation of a comprehensive transfer policy by fixing a time period of 5 years, utilization of services of employees in their respective districts till the situation becomes conducive in Kashmir valley and not to pressurize the Jammu based employees in any manner to resume their duties in the current prevailing situation in Kashmir.
The Association expresses its gratitude to the UT Administration for the constitution of a committee on July 25, 2022 headed by Principal Secretary to the Government, General Administrative Department to examine various aspects of transfer policy of the reserved category employees which would submit its report in a time bound manner. The report of the committee is still awaited.
Meanwhile, salary of various employees serving in Kashmir valley is withheld for past 1 or 2 months. Moreover , the current prevailing situation in Kashmir valley is still not conducive for the non-local employees to resume their duties. Further, some of the employees are being forced to resume their duties by way of the orders issued by concerned authorities and DDO’s.
AJBRCEA, Kashmir urged the Lt. Governor led administration to issue an order for the release of the withheld salaries of the employees and not to pressurize them to resume their duties till the situation becomes conducive in Kashmir.
