LOS ANGELES, Sept 15: Superstar James Franco is eyeing to play the main character named Buster ‘Rant’ Casey in the big screen adaptation of novel ‘Rant: The Oral Biography of Buster Casey’.
Pamela Romanowsky is in talks to write and direct the film adapted from the author Chuck Palahniuk’s book, reported Ace Showbiz.
“As of last night we’ve finalised a deal for James Franco to option my novel ‘Rant’,” Palahniuk said in a statement.
“Details about the casting, shooting and a proposed release date will be forthcoming. Hurray. After the opportunity to work with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Sam Rockwell, I can’t imagine a more exciting actor to work with than Franco,” the statement read further.
Casey is described as the most efficient serial killer. A high school rebel, he moves from his small town home to the big city where he becomes the leader of an urban demolition derby called Party Crashing. (PTI)
