UDHAMPUR, Mar 2: Jal Shakti Employees and Workers Association here today held a meeting which was chaired by Som Nath, Association president.
Speakers in the meeting demanded release of pending wages of 60-70 months of the daily wagers with interest.
They also said that CP, ITI and land case workers who have completed seven years of service should be regularised immediately.
Demand of paying wages as per Minimum Wages Act was also raised along with the demand of conducting DPC twice a year in Mechanical Division Udhampur.
Speaking in the meeting Som Nath said that at present there is shortage of staff in the department and only a single worker is working where 4-5 workers are required.
Vijay Sharma, Makhan Chand, Krishan Chand, Karan Singh and others were also present in the meeting.
