Jagti inmates’ concern over water scarcity

JAMMU, Dec 18: Expressing grave concern over water scarcity in the township, the Jagti inmates have demanded immediate restoration of same failing which they will take to streets.
In a statement issued here, today the social activists group Sunil Pandita and Vijay Kaul alleged that the water supply in the township has been paralyzed since last one week and the authorities have failed to restore the same. They said that the camp inmates are in grave problem due to water scarcity and the authorities are totally unmoved. They said that the water supply remains mostly paralyzed in the township and the authorities despite the promises have failed to construct a new water supply scheme.
The inmates have sought immediate intervention of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, Abdul Rehman Veeri in the matter.
