MUMBAI, Aug 18: Digital payments company ItzCash today said it is betting big on Indian entertainment industry and is eyeing Rs 5,000 crore from the segment by FY18.
The company, which entered entertainment space nine years ago with satellite cable/DTH recharge for Dish TV, currently garners 20-22 per cent of its business from the segment.
It has been witnessing a growth of approximately 40 per cent year-on-year in the entertainment sector and has a revenue of Rs 3,000 crore at present from this segment.
“With the country’s strongest offline network reach, comprising more than 75,000 retail touch points and a dominant play in the DTH and Cable TV segment, the company is now vigorously eyeing movie bookings and mobile TV sectors to drive incremental growth for the next two fiscals,” ItzCash said in a statement.
The company has tied-up with BookMyShow and dittoTV and plans to aggressively build its customer base in the online entertainment industry. (PTI)
