SRINAGAR, July 17: J&K ITI Employees United Front representing State Government employees of Technical Education held its 5th State Convention at Government ITI, here today during which various issues of the employees of technical education were discussed threadbare.
The convention was held under the chairmanship Nazir Ahmad Molvi, State president of the Front. Davinder Singh, National president and Vinod Shekhawat, National general secretary of National Federation of Government ITI Employees’ Associations (NFGITIEA) graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.
In the convention achievements of the United Front of the previous tenure were discussed and debated in depth and new targets for the future were also fixed. During the discussion, several issues were raised by the delegates who attended the convention reaching from Uri, Baramulla, Rohama, Handwara, Kupwara, Sopore, Pattan, Budgam, Srinagar, Bemina, Shopian, Tral, Anantnag, Seer Hamdan, Kulgam, Pulwama, etc.
The issues raised by the delegates/leadership of the front include establishment of a balancing mechanism between demand and supply, holding of DPC meetings on quarterly basis, placement of Supervisor/ Group Instructor/ Surveyor, Technical Assistant/ Workshop Instructor on priority basis, filling up vacant posts of Instructor on urgent basis, regularization of services of all vocational instructors working on adhoc, consolidated, contractual, academic basis on the anology of ReT/ Rehbar-e-Khel pattern, finalization of recruitment rules of gazetted as well as non-gazetted posts, change of nomenclature of instructional posts.
The delegates also discussed other issues like discontinuation of direct recruitment of Superintendent, Supervisor, etc., removal of pay anomaly of instructor and supervisor, implementation of the recommendation of the DGT, Union Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship relating to pay scale/grade pay of Rs 4600 to the instructor working under the Directorate of Technical Education and re-organization of the department.
