LONDON, Nov 14: Singer James Bourne has revealed it took him five years to get over his band Busted splitting up back in 2005.
The 33-year-old singer said he felt like he “didn’t have a life” when the group went their separate ways in 2005 so Charlie Simpson could pursue a career with his rock band Fightstar and it took him a long time to come to terms with the fact the “Year 3000” hitmakers wouldn’t be making a new album, reported Contactmusic.
“There’s an adjustment thing that goes on and for me it was quite a long time. Your life is on a certain track and the track ends, and it feels like you don’t have a life for a little bit, because the life you did have is over,” he said.
“So, I spent a few months in my apartment just playing video games and not really seeing anybody. It probably took about five years actually. I spent a good few years doing other things, but there was still a part of me that thought, ‘Hopefully we can do another album’. And it took about five years for me to give up on that and make peace with the fact that it was never going to happen.” (PTI)
