Srinagar, June 3: National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah has directed Ministers from National Conference to attend the Party Headquarters at Nawa-e-Subh Complex in Srinagar and asked them to be available to general public and party workers in order to gain insights into their day-to-day issues and alleviate their grievances.
NC spokesman Junaid Azim Mattu said that eleven senior Ministers belonging to National Conference will be available on allocated days at NC Headquarters to interact with the general public and address their issues and grievances.
Stating that this was a serious initiative directed at bringing the Ministers closer to the public, Junaid Mattu said that National Conference was committed to enhancing its grassroots connections and said the NC Working President Omar Abdullah’s initiative directing Ministers to regularly attend NC Headquarters was a significant step in that direction.
The NC spokesman said that the following Ministers have been directed by the NC Working President to attend NC Headquarters at the following delegated dates and times.
Feroz Ahmed Khan (Minister of State for Science & Technology and Information Technology) will be present at NC Headquarters on Friday the 6th of June from 03:30 pm to 06:30 pm, Sakina Itoo (Minister for Social Welfare) will be present at NC Headquarters on Saturday the 7th of June from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm.
Ali Mohammad Sagar (Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj) will be present at NC Headquarters on Tuesday the 10th of June from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm), Mohammad Akbar Lone (Minister for Higher Education) will be present at NC Headquarters on Friday the 13th of June from 03:30 pm to 06:30 pm, Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan (Minister for CAPD and Transport) will be present at NC Headquarters on Saturday the 14th of June from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm, Mir Saifullah (Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs) will be present at NC Headquarters on Tuesday the 17th of June from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi (Minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry) will be present at NC Headquarters on Friday the 20th of June from 03:30 pm to 06:30 pm, Mian Altaf Ahmad (Minister for Forests, Environment and Ecology) will be present at NC Headquarters on Saturday the 21st of June from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm.
Abdul Rahim Rather (Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs) will be present at NC Headquarters on Tuesday the 24th of June from 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm, Ajay Sadhotra (Minister for Planning and Development and Labour and Employment) will be present at NC Headquarters on Friday the 27th of June from 03:30 pm to 06:30 pm and Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo (Minister of State (IC) for Industries and Commerce ) will be present at NC Headquarters on Saturday the 28th of June from 10:00 pm to 01:00 pm.
The NC spokesman said that a fresh roster for attendance of Ministers at NC Headquarters would be issued by the Party Working President as and when the current roster concludes. This step, the NC spokesman said was being hailed by NC workers and general public as a measure to increase the accessibility of the Ministers and the Government to the general public.
