REASI, June 12: The IRP 1st Battalion today celebrated the raising day of J&K police here at Battalion Headquarters.
Commandant, IRP 1st Battalian, Tej Ram Katoch, who was the chief guest, said Jammu and Kashmir Police by dint of hard work and devotion has emerged as an elite force in the country and is capable of handling any situation. He enjoined upon all the officers and officials to work with great zeal and zest to uphold the rule of law under all circumstances and serve the people with dedication and sincerity.
SP, IRP 1st Battalion, HK Nazar, SP IRP 1st Battalion, Ravi Gupta, Deputy SP, Imtiaz Ahmad and a large number of officials and jawans of the Battalion attended the function.
During the function, various speakers threw light on the achievements of police since its inception in the State and particularly during last year floods.
The cultural and sports activities were the part of today’s functions in which officials as well as jawans participated. The chief guest and other invitees lauded the performance of the participants.
Various programs have been slotted for the benefit of the society at large by the battalion throughout the week such as meeting members of societies while giving them tips on safety and holding seminars on public interests.
On this occasion rich tributes were also paid to the martyrs and good wishes extended to their families.
