Ircon’s operating turnover over Rs 4,000 crore: Chairman

JAMMU, Sept 11: Ircon International Limited (a Railway PSU) held 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
On the occasion, Mohan Tiwari, Chairman and Managing Director of IRCON International Limited highlighted major milestones achieved during 2012-13 including operating turnover of Rs 4,232 crore, PBT of Rs 1,015 crore, and net foreign exchange earnings of Rs 887 crore. After having issued 1:1 bonus shares during the year, Ircon declared its highest ever final dividend of Rs 98.98 crore on the enhanced share capital taking the total dividend for the year to a record Rs 148.47 crore, he added.
Chairman also highlighted about two major projects completed in Sri Lanka, the largest transportation project completed in Malaysia (valued at US$ 1 billion), and Banihal-Qazigund Railway section including the longest transportation (Pir Panjal) tunnel in India constructed by Ircon connecting Kashmir with Jammu region and the rest of the country.
He stated that Ircon is one of the only 4 Indian companies which made it to the list of top 250 international contractors 2013 as per Engineering News Record (ENR), USA.
