KATHUA, Jan 4: The irate residents of Kathua supported by BJP and other organizations held a strong protest here today and blocked Jammu-Pathankot National Highway for about one hour in protest against Upper Dhangri militants attack on January 1 and killing of six persons besides injuring others.
The protesters also torched the effigy of Pakistan and blocked the National Highway at Kalibari. The movement of vehicular traffic was disrupted ion the NH for a long time and there was a huge traffic jam. The protestors besides BJP were supported by VHP and ABVP activists. They were raising slogans against terrorism and Pakistan.
Earlier hundreds of protesters from Kathua town marched towards National Highway.
They blocked the National Highway at Kalibari for one hour and brunt the effigy of Pakistan. While addressing BJP leader Prem Nath, Rishav Gupta, Rajesh Mehta, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Rekha Kumari, Sushma Sharma and Sarpanch Mohan Singh condemned the killing of selected innocent Hindus by Pak sponsored militants. Even the children were not spared and this shows the heights of cruelty.
They demanded another surgical strike against Pakistan to teach it a lesson. They criticised the LG administration for its failure to protect the lives of Hindu in Kashmir as well as Jammu. They demanded dismissal of LG Government. They also demanded identification of black sheep and anti national elements of Rajouri who supported the militants to target Hindus.
