IPS officers interact with IGP Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Dec 6: About 30 probationary IPS officers of different cadres who are undergoing their probationary field training in different parts of Kashmir zone interacted with IGP Kashmir, A G Mir at Police Control Room here.
During the interaction, IGP impressed upon the probationary IPS officers that they were the future leaders of the Indian Police who have to deal with various challenges of the internal security of the country.
IGP exhorted upon the officers that they have to work in different regions with diverse cultural and ethnic back grounds and their ability to deliver will depend on how better they are able to abreast themselves with the changes. He added that methodologies of investigations of criminal cases are rapidly changing with the advent of latest technologies and they are needed to groom themselves to such advancements.
IGP while answering to various queries of the probationers gave a detailed account of working of J&K police, the challenges it has overcome and how it has developed into one of the better known police force of the country.
Earlier, the DIG CKR S A Mujtaba gave a detailed account of the last 20 years from the beginning of the insurgency in 1989 till today and the fight of the state against the terrorism.
Among others who attended the interactive meeting included SSP Srinagar Ashiq Bukhari, SP PCR Manoj Pandita, Dy SP Tanveer Ahmad, DySP Mohammad Ashraf.
