Involve border youth in sports activities: Chib

JAMMU, Mar 2: Former minister and senior Congress leader  RS Chib has said that energy of the border youth should be channelized towards sports activities and body building.
While addressing youth from Suchetgarh Block in R S Pura Mr Chib said that the young force is the future of India. He said it is equally essential for them to participate in the sports, body building and health related activities along with their academic studies, in order to achieve overall development of their personality. Mr Chib further added that, this will also help them to keep themselves away from all types of addiction including drugs, drinks and smoking, which is totally injurious for their health.
This function was organized to felicitate the youth of Suchetgarh, who participated in the C-BYTE (Border Youth Training for Empowerment),  held recently.  A race covering a distance of 12 Kms was conducted in PYT- Sattowali ground, in which 142 young boys from, Suchetgarh, RS Pura, Arnia, Marh, Mandal,  Khour and Pargwal participated.  The overall trophy was won by youth of Suchetgarh block.
Mr Chib appreciated the efforts of DC Jammu Simarnjit Singh under whose guidance the training of youth of  border belt for their empowerment was being conducted. He also congratulated Capt  Sher Singh, for his active involvement and hard work to teach and guide the young men.
Mr Chib, also inaugurated a Gym, under the name of “Chaudhary -Gym”. The initiative of opening this was taken up by two unemployed youth  Rajinder Kumar and  Narinder Singh of Suchetgarh Block.
