Introduce population education

Sir,
Growth rate of  population is the index of  development and prosperity of a nation. In fact nations get the tag of developed and developing on the basis of this index.
If we take a look at the growth rate of developed nations, it is hardly one percent and even zero percent in some nations like Sweden.
India continues to be a developing country despite its remarkable progress in every sphere of life. Resources of India when compared with its population growth are scarce. This growing trend is going to have a direct bearing on its economic, social, cultural  health of society.
Our nation at the moment is grappling with conflicts in every sphere of life. We are not able to remove scourge of poverty, unemployments illiteracy, morbidity and so many problems from our society.
Birth rate continues to be high despite many reproductive health programmes launched by the Government. High growth rate has eaten into the very vitals of our society.
Some drastic steps have to be taken by the present dispensation to address this grim issue. There is a dire  need for introducing population education in the curriculum at all levels of education. Laws should be amended to increase the marriage-able age both for males and females. Popuation education if introduced will enlighten the students and people at large about the need for population control.
Yours etc…
