Introduce Bio Chemistry

Sir,
The steam of Biochemistry was introduced in the year 1983 and 2004 in the esteemed universiites of Kashmir and Jammu respectively. So far, an aggregate of more than 400 students and scholars have completed their degrees since its inception. The number swells up even more if students and scholars who have completed degrees from institutes outside the State are also included. A very small fraction (approx. 20-25) of the degree holders have been able to find jobs  in their field of interest through Govt and private sector, rest of the scholars and students are forced to look out for jobs in other field or compelled to leave the State that too when they want to be the harbingers of peace and progress in the State itself.
Biochemists find a few job opportunities in the private sector industries (2-3 pharmaceutical companies such as Cadila, Sun Pharma, Dabur etc.) prevailing in our State. We request the Govt to please devise an approach that provides ample impetus to this sector that ensures livelihood for the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir especially the unemployed educated youth.
Biochemistry as a subject has been introduced at University level for the past 20 years but lot needs to be done to promote learning at higher secondary and undergraduate level is it is through this approach that the true potential of the subject can be realised.
Yours etc….
