International seminar on Urdu concludes

JAMMU, Feb 23: The two day international seminar on the subject ‘Relevance of Hali in the Present Era’, organized by the Department of Urdu, University of Jammu,   concluded today with the valedictory function, which was presided over by Prof M A Wani and Khalid Hussain, noted Punjabi Short Story writers.
Prof Wani and Khalid Hussain highlighted the role of Hali in building the national integration and communal harmony.
Earlier in the academic sessions, papers were presented by  reputed scholars, including  Dr Wafa Yazdan from Iran, Dr  Nazia Mauritius, Dr  Taki Abdi from Canada, Dr  Arfa Bushra from Srinagar, Dr Reyaz Ahmed and Dr Asaf Malik from Jammu, Prof  Naseer Naqvi from Punjabi University Patiala, Dr  Ragbat Shamim from Calcutta, Dr Ashaq Hussain from Central University Kashmir, Dr  A R Manhas and Dr  Farhat Shamim and others.
