Inter-state thieves gang busted; four arrested with stolen trucks

JAMMU, Aug 2: Police busted an inter-state thieves’ gang by arresting four persons along with stolen trucks.
As per police sources, on July 7 this year, a complaint was lodged by Police Post Gadigarh regarding theft of a truck and accordingly a case under FIR Number 117/2022 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari.
Similarly, two cases of trucks theft were reported at Police Post Bathindi on July 13 and July 29 this year and two FIRs were registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
To work out the theft cases, teams from Police Station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jiilani and assisted by Incharge Police Post Gadigarh SI Ravinder Singh and Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by Incharge Police Post Bathindi PSI Mohammad Younis Khanday were constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari, SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma were constituted.
The teams after collaboration various leads, finally arrested three thieves, who were identified as Bablu Kumar, son of Kewel Krishan and Shubam Sharma, son of Rakesh Sharma, both residents of Rajiv Nagar Narwal District Jammu and Ramesh Kumar, son of Shanker Dass of Dansal Jhajjar Kotli District Jammu. They also confessed about their involvement in trucks theft cases.
On their disclosures and technical data, the conspiracy behind the trucks theft gang was busted and one more accused namely Bittu Khurana, son of Bhagwan Dass of Kheri Markanda Kurukshetra Haryana was arrested. Four stolen trucks were recovered from Karnal area of Haryana.
The accused are being examined thoroughly as more arrests and recoveries are likely to be made in the cases in days to come.
