JAMMU, July 23: The Inter School District Level Selection trials cum competitions in different games concluded at MA Stadium, here today. Organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, the event aims to identify top talent for further competitions and was conducted under the supervision of experts including Tilak Parihar, Sunil Abrol, Ujjwal Gupta, Rajeev Kumar, Raman Sharma, Gurdeepika Kour, Krish Gupta, Omeshwar Sanyal, Taqdir Singh and Ajay Paul Gill.
The results in today’s events, in Judo U-19 Girls, Arti (GHS Canal Road) won below 36 kg, Prachi (GHS Canal Road) topped below 40 kg followed by Lakshmi (HS Rehari). In below 44 kg, Lakshita (HS Rehari) stood first, Manvi Verma (Unique Academy) second. Shivanshi (PS Convent) bagged gold in below 48 kg, Kushi Chopra (KC Gurukul) and Adhya Sharma (GHS Akhnoor) won first and second in below 52 kg and Anzel Sharma (KV School) topped below 70 kg. In U-14 Judo, Kushi Kumari (GHS Bhatyari Bishnah) won below 23 kg, Aarya Chib (KV Satwari) below 27 kg, Manya Kandhari (BSF Paloura) below 32 kg, Pragya Choudhary below 36 kg, Monika Sharma (GHS Gandhi Nagar) below 40 kg, Ruhi Katoch (BSF Paloura) below 44 kg, and Gouranshi Thakur (Presentation Gandhi Nagar) above 44 kg.
In Boxing U-17 Girls, Ridham won below 42 kg, Serish (Shamford) came second, Arush Vevshi (Shamford) won 42–46 kg, Mehak (Shamford) 46–48 kg, Priyanshi (Shamford) 50–52 kg, Roshni (APS Akhnoor) 52–54 kg, with Shriya (APS Ratnu Chak) second and Srishti (Shamford) topped 54–57 kg. In Boxing U-19, Lakshmi and Manvi (HSS Rehari) secured top spots in below 45 kg, Sachi (May Fair) won 45–48 kg, Pooja (GGHS Rehari) 51–54 kg and Vanshika (GGHS Rehari) 54–57 kg.
