Inter-Departmental Group for compilation of Environment Accounts

JAMMU, Mar 30: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted an Inter-Departmental Group for compilation of Environment Accounts in the Union Territory.
Headed by Director General Economics and Statistics, J&K, the group shall assess availability of data for compilation of Environmental Economic Accounts, identify data gaps and recommend measures for filling the data gaps.
Further, it shall assess resource requirements and capacity development for implementation of Environmental-Economic Accounting besides suggesting roadmap for implementation of sector wise accounts.
Joint Director ( Surveys), DES, J&K is Members Secretary of the Group. The group shall have 16 members, including representatives from various departments.
