Institutes of education and research celebrate R-Day

JAMMU, Jan 27: Various institutions of education and research celebrated the 75th Republic Day with enthusiasm and spectacular display of patriotic fervor.
At Jammu University, Vice Chancellor, Prof Umesh Rai unfurled the National Flag on the Campus, amid the resonating National Anthem. On the occasion, Prof. Rai also unveiled T-55 Tank, a War Trophy, presented by the Army to the University, which has been placed with high reverence on the campus. Wards of university employees and students presented a vibrant cultural programme
Kathua, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar and other off site Campuses of the Jammu University also celebrated the Republic Day.
CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu celebrated the Republic Day with great zeal, patriotism, and pride. Dr Zabeer Ahmed, Director IIIM, unfurled the National Tricolour and took salute at the ceremonial march past by the Security men of CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and the students contingent of RRL High School. Students also presented a colourful cultural programme.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu celebrated the Republic Day by beginning the day with a Walkathon in the early morning, symbolizing solidarity and the spirit of togetherness. It was followed by flag hoisting ceremony. The cultural segment of the event showcased the diverse talents of IIT Jammu’s students. The event was attended by faculty, students, and distinguished guests.
The IIM Jammu marked the 75th Republic Day with an inspiring celebration at its permanent campus in Jagti. Prof B S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, unfurled the National Flag and addressed the gathering. The event witnessed active participation from Faculty, officers, staff members and students of the Institute.
During Republic Day celebration at Central University of Jammu, Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain unfurled the National Flag. On the occasion, Prof Jain also inaugurated the NCC Girls Wing, providing a platform for female students to actively participate in the National Cadet Corps activities. The program concluded with the national anthem.
At SKUAST Jammu, Vice-Chancellor Prof B N Tripathi unfurled the National tricolor. The event started with garlanding a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi followed by the singing of National Anthem. Cultural programme was also organized to commemorate the occasion. All the statutory officers of the University, Faculty members, non-teaching staff and students attended the Republic Day celebrations.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Jammu celebrated the Republic Day at its Campus in Rajinder Nagar, Ban Talab. Regional Director of IIMC Jammu, Dr Anil Soumitra unfurled the National Flag. Students of the institute had decorated the stage with flowers and Rangoli. All the faculty members, staff and students were present on the occasion.
Dogra College of Education, Dogra Law College & Dogra Degree College celebrated 75th Republic Day in Bari Brahmana campus with great enthusiasm. Dr Samar Dev Singh Charak Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust unfurled the National Flag followed by National Anthem in the presence of students and staff of Dogra Group of Colleges.
Government Degree College Khour celebrated Republic Day in the College premises to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and the country’s transition to a Republic which came into effect on 26th January 1950. Principal of the College Prof (Dr) T. K Sharma unfurled the National flag followed by the National Anthem.
Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra (SPPND) Government Degree College Samba celebrated 75th Republic Day with great fervour and gaiety. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Prof. (Dr) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college followed by the rendition of the national anthem and plantation of a sapling. NCC cadets and NSS volunteers marked the event with patriotic songs.
Sant Mela Singh College of Education (SMSCE) celebrated 75th Republic Day with great fervour and gaiety. The National flag was unfurled in presence of Principal, Staff, Students and members of the Management Committee followed by the national anthem.
Chenab College of Education celebrated 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Celebration started with a brief introduction by the Cultural Committee Incharge Poonam Bhalwal. Thereafter, Principal of the College, Dr Sunita Sharma addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of Republic Day with brief glimpses of the history and significance of this day. Thereafter various cultural, patriotic activities were held by the students which included speeches, patriotic songs and dance giving glimpses of the diversity in unity of the nation.
Kawa College of Education celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotic Zeal and gaiety, M.S Katoch (Chairman Kawa Group of Colleges), along with Abimanyu Katoch (MD), Ayush Katoch (Director) and Dr Bharti Punj (Principal) unfurled the tricolour followed by the National Anthem at the campus, students and staff of B.Ed programme marked their presence by singing the national anthem.
Management Committee, Staff and students of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Trikuta Degree College, Trikuta College of Education, Jammu College of Physiotherapy, Sain Charitable Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Trikuta College of Physical Education under the banner of Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education and Research Nardni Raipur celebrated 75th Republic Day with great pomp and show. National flag was unfurled in the College premises by the Chairperson of the Trust Suman Sharma.
SG Government Degree College Doongi, Rajouri celebrated Republic Day 2024 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The festivities commence with the solemn flag unfurling ceremony, led by the Principal of the college Prof. (Dr) Jaipal Singh. The flag, symbolizing the unity and integrity of the nation was unfurled amidst the spirited rendition of the national anthem by students, creating an atmosphere of reverence.
Government Industrial Training Institute, Akhnoor Road, Jammu celebrated 75th Republic Day in the premises. Joint Director, Skill Development Department, Jammu G M Bhat unfurled the national flag followed by the National Anthem. Faculty members Karan Singh, Rajeev Kumar Dubey, Shyam Kumar, Naresh Sharma & Er Nazir Ahmed Molvi, President J&K ITI Employee’s united front were present on this occasion.
Modern Montessori International Preschool Jammu celebrated 75th Republic Day online with great enthusiasm and zeal. The function started with the introduction about the Republic Day. Children were shown PPT and made aware about the significance of Republic Day. Director of School Sapna Rohmetra and Principal of MMI, Jammu Pragya Gupta unfurled the national flag. Children, teaches were dressed in white colour with tricolour sash and had flags in their hands.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar- Jammu celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotic Zeal and gaiety. The function was organised under the supervision of Headmaster, Harish Sharma and all the Wing Incharges of the School. The ceremony began with the unfurling of National Flag by the Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi, alongwith the Director of RMPS, Rakshan Mengi and Director of Shiksha Niketan and Pushp Vatika, Risheek Mengi in the presence of all the teaching and Non-teaching staff members of the school.
The 75th Republic Day programme was organized by Sub-Divisional Administration, Marh, Jammu in the premises of Government Model Higher Secondary School Marh, in which 12 Government as well as Private Schools participated. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manu Hansa was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Little Buds Public School Krishna Nagar Canal Road celebrated 75th Republic day in its premises with great fervour. Usha Anand, President Women Welfare Organization, a social activist was the chief guest on the occasion. Managing Director of the School Sanjeev Kumar welcomed the chief guest. Principal Shakutla Bangotra told students to be a good citizen.
Government Higher Secondary School Salmerhi (Udhampur) celebrated 75th Republic day with patriotism and great enthusiasm. Principal Pawan Kumar unfurled the national flag followed by the national anthem in the presence of staff of the school and public representatives from Panchayat Sial Jattan.
Government Mixed Higher Secondary School Purkhoo (Camp) Jammu celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The national flag was unfurled by principal of the school L.N Bhat in presence of staff and students and Purkhoo Camp President Daya Krishen.
Principal Sunil Kumar Dhar, Government Girls Higher Secondary School (Camp) Shastri Nagar celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm, He unfurled the national flag in presence of staff members with great fervour.
Principal Pushpa Bhat Government Mixed Higher Secondary School Roopnagar, Jammu unfurled the national flag on the 75th Republic Day in the school premises.
Higher Secondary School Khanna Chhargal Zone Gandhi Nagar celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Shamim Begum, DDC was chief guest while Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa Khanna Chhargal Kripal Singh, Principal Dharmendar Kumar unfurled the national flag.
Arya Samaj Daya Nand Marg City Chowk Jammu celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The national flag was unfurled by Balwan Singh, General Secretary who prayed for progress of the country.

Government Hari Singh Higher Secondary School (GHHSS) Camp Bohri, Jammu celebrated 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. Incharge of the Institution, Meenakshi Koul, Senior Lecturer Botany was the chief guest on the occasion, who unfurled the National Flag followed by the National Anthem.
