JAMMU, Sept 23: BJP State Ex-Servicemen Cell co-convener, Sub (retd) B S Jasrotia in a statement demanded installation of a separate transformer at Muthi Morh in view of increasing load on the exiting transformer there.
In a statement issued here, today he said the transformer has to cater the needs of a vast area including IIT Muthi, saw mills, opposite to Janipura Police Station and welding shops at Paloura and Buta Nagar as well as adjoining area of Ward No 38.
He said due to heavy load on this transformer it often breaks down resulting into power failure. Due to increasing load some wires caught fire today and snapped. This can prove dangerous and there can be any catastrophe if remedial measures are not taken, he added.
