inner voice
PARENTS
You are both special in every way,
Encouraging me more and
More each passing day.
You both are the reason why I’m so strong,
With you two at the helm not
A thing could go wrong.
You’ve both helped me
through many trials and tribulations,
You’ve made things better
In every situation.
Thank you both for always being there,
And showing me that you truly care.
Words could never explain
How I feel about you,
But I hope you know
That I truly love you two!

The Soul
The one that resides within
Flies high with the wind,
From heavens to the hell
unconfined in the mortal cell,
The only hope in dire
Burning inside like a fire,
The pure verse of life
With a heinous head thou strife,
The godly specks on earth
Filled in the one taking birth,
Love, affection, emotion, trust
Animosity, hatred, apathy, lust
All aspects of a single “whole”
The thing inside you and me,
The thing we call ‘The Soul”

LIFE
My pains,
Your smiles,
Together we were,
Alone I was,
For miles,
Some vows,
Under skies,
Who cares,
Broken stars,
Silent cries,
My prayers
Those gods,
Eyes opened,
All lies,
All frauds,
Cleaning, laundering,
Bodies, clothes,
Scars, souls,
Wondering, wandering

Election Fever
Election fever is on, some one will come and
Some one will be gone,
And some one has already withdrawn,
Temperature is very high,
Some one has to rush by road and some one has to fly,
Some one is questioning and some one is giving reply
Everyone is claiming to be right,
Everybody is claiming that
his chances are bright,
People are welcoming both black and white.
Everybody claiming that he is only honest and most suited,
Rest everybody with both the hands have looted,
He is very poor and forever will remain your’s.
Everywhere there are promises of bright future,
Somewhere independent and somewhere mutual,
But ultimate best judges are the people.
Through ballot voters will determine the fate,
Have little patience and just wait,
Results are now imminent
And it is not too late.
Everyone will be exposed,
Many questions by the voters shall be posed.
Someone will manage and someone will be bulldozed
Everybody has engaged his workers, kith and kin,
Trial of any formula is no more sin,
But lastly only truth and democracy will win

PESHAWAR- A TRAGEDY
Its late evening and my son isn’t back
And the news channels are showing his school being attacked
I can see being attacked, what he called his second home
He said, “I find peace there, its a tranquil abode Mom”
His father has gone there, to bring back his son back
My heart can’t find peace, I’ll stay awake
His father has arrived, with my son by his side
But why is he not on his feet
Why is my son wrapped in sheets
Get these blood stained sheets off him
I know him, he is much more stronger than this
Get these sheets off him and let me hug him
Let me hug him , my embrace will comfort him
As I get the sheets off him, my heart’s in a million shambles
For the first time, as I touch my baby, my hand trembles
What a curse, even my touch will cause his wounds to pain
How much I try to wake him, my efforts go in vain
He was always a tough child, but always listened to me
Oh devils! What did you do to him
How could he be
Dead, Its got to be a lie
How could my only hope
My only reason to live die?
He played with me hide and seek
It was never easy to find him
Why didn’t he then dodge death
And hide where devils couldn’t find him
His grave is being dug
He is being laid in the coffin
No one in the world knows
My soul will be buried with him
Its not just me but a hundred mothers
And a million curses that will cause to shatter
And destroyed will be those monsters
Who in the name of God
Massacred his most beautiful creations.
