Rejoice on Deepawali
The symbol of Truth’s Victory
An triumph over Evil’s supremacy
No matter , how strong and mighty
No matter, how dedicated and weighty
Laced with apt weapons of destruction
Herds of trained but misled men
All avenues availing at a finger’s touch
Mis-loyality, notorious confidence
and much
Command of sneer over ‘heroes’
of the age
Dedicated but mis-motivated outrage
Evil designs and wicked mind
Humane feelings thrown to the wind
Snatchers of laps form infants
Exploiters of ignorant and innocents
Numerous pests on society, as a force
Can never succeede in their recourse
Truth, purity and peace overcomes
All these forces which put us in
doldrums
The omniscient Goddess Laxmi will
shower
Blessings, peace, harmony and power
So, light the mental ‘Diyas’ and pray
This Deepawali, Evil is sure to suffer decay
Genius assures, this Deepawali, Goddees
Laxmi will be full with bliss and kindness

Courage
Courage is what it takes to stand up to others
Courage is what it takes to make your own decisions
Courage is what it takes to succeed
But it also takes courage to sit down and listen
It also takes courage to admit a loss
It will take courage to respect someone others don’t
Courage is needed to withstand peer pressure
So what does this mean
Courage is essential in your journey through life.

Rose petals
Amidst a garden in Kashmir
Velvet petals shone so bright
the “little curious” has reasons to cheer joyous!
Their beauty…. Above all might
they trembled as shy
when he walked a little near
as he moved to touch ’em
they shivered with fear
“Dear Mr glossy glare
I wont mean any harm!
Keeping distance let me stare
in serene, with calm”…..
like someone depressed & shy
handsome youth at its peak,
telling tragedy-tales with moistened eyes
The tender petals rose to speak…..
“crazy, curious innocent dear
its not our pride that we need to blush
we just have a little fear
coz rose petals are meant to be crushed….”

A LESSON
FROM NATURE
Learn a lesson from the trees;
They give fruits to those;
Who cut them recklessly.
Learn a lesson from the rivers;
They give water to those;
Who contaminate thoughtlessly.
Learn a lesson from the birds;
They feed those who are hapless.
Learn a lesson from the true saints;
Who live not for themselves;
But for others.
Learn a lesson from the roses;
Who live in the mud & clay;
But spread scents for others.
I request all work with devotion;
And never have a thought of reward.
