Sir,
PMSSS is a special scholarship scheme for J&K students which provides the student full academic fee and a sum of 1 lakh rupees for hostel fee and other maintenance fees. Last year as the whole country was under lockdown AICTE decided to pay only Rs 20000 for that semester. And as of now it again declared to pay only Rs 20000 for this semester also. This scheme is for poor and backward students. Even though there was lockdown but we had to pay the rents. And even we had offline exams for that semester for which we had to move to respective places for studying as 4G network was banned in J&K. We all are from poor background. We had travel expenses that time. And also we had to stay there for almost 6 months starting from November to April. Again our university is planning to conduct offline exams so we have to move again to Bangalore. For this session we will be staying at Bangalore for almost 8 months. So we have full expenses as usual . We have to purchase books and all other studying material. This is not only my problem. But every student studying under this scheme is facing the same. Around 20000 students are availing this scholarship.
It is the matter of future of thousands of students.
